Fishing enthusiasts, we need your help.
Fishing at the Top of the Yorke is a hidden gem of an experience that tourists deserve to know about, and we're developing new fishing guides to help show off its greatness. We want your best fishing photos to feature on our website pages for our informative ‘how-to fishing guides’. Are you ready to show off your angling skills and make your photos famous?
We're looking for original, high-quality photos of King George Whiting, Squid, and Garfish species to feature on our website. We want action shots with people and close-ups of the target species that will make our readers' jaws drop! We're also accepting short videos that we can use on the Top of the Yorke YouTube channel.
Our first series of fishing guides, The Ultimate Blue Crab Guide and The Ultimate Yellowfin Whiting Guide, were a huge success, and now we're developing even more guides on fishing opportunities in the region. The next wave of guides include The Ultimate King George Whiting Guide, The Ultimate Garfishing Guide, and The Ultimate Squidding Guide. Will your photo be featured?
To be involved, eligible photos will need a photo release form completed with Barunga West Council, and the size of the file should be 1MB or greater. We want to feature your best shots, so bring your A-game!
But wait, there's more! Council is looking for a local angler to complete monthly fishing reports. This volunteer role will help Council share the best recreational fishing opportunities in the region. A monthly fishing report will appear on the Top of the Yorke website and social media platforms to help promote recreational fishing in our region. Are you the one with the inside scoop on the latest and greatest fishing spots? Share your knowledge with the world!
To put your hand up to being involved in this exciting opportunity, please submit an Expression of Interest by email to barunga@barungawest.sa.gov.au with your contact details.
