In Australia, we recognise the red poppy 🌺 as the commemorative flower of remembrance. The flower reminds us of those who lost their lives or suffered in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.
Help Council and the Port Broughton RSL create the Port Broughton Poppy Fields. Our aim is to have 1000 knitted red, white and purple poppies on display along the Port Broughton Foreshore for ANZAC Day.
For an easy to follow poppy pattern guide, follow the link https://youtu.be/vsYkpNZ0V4E Or print the Knitted Poppy Pattern guide.
Council suggest purchasing the required wool from Haberdashery shop in Kadina . Knitters will need size 5 needles.
