Port Broughton Industrial Blocks Now Selling

Barunga West Council has broken ground on a significant Employment Zone development, bringing six prime industrial allotments to the market in Port Broughton.

Located at Lots 1-6 Hornby Road, these industrial blocks represent a strategic investment aimed at bolstering local economic growth, attracting new businesses, and creating employment opportunities in the region.

The parcels vary in size from 2,500m² to 18,325m², accommodating a diverse range of industrial and commercial enterprises. Prices for the industrial allotments range from $125,000 for smaller parcels up to $549,750 for the largest, 18,325m² block. These competitive prices reflect excellent value given their strategic location on Hornby Road, close proximity to Port Broughton township, and suitability for various industrial and commercial developments.

Mayor Leonie Kerley said the project marks an essential step in addressing the ongoing undersupply of industrial land on Yorke Peninsula.

“Council has proactively responded to market demands and enquiries by investing in infrastructure to facilitate industrial growth. This initiative is crucial for job creation and sustained economic prosperity in our region,” Mayor Kerley said.

Significant infrastructure development already completed includes heavy vehicle-compatible roads, boundary surveying, fencing, and lodging electrical designs. The allotments are approved as dry blocks by SA Water, with SA Power Networks establishing a principal power hub to serve the precinct.

The properties are now available for sale exclusively through Bonnie Stringer at Broughton Realty. Interested businesses and developers can contact Bonnie Stringer directly at 0428 554 817 for further details and site inspections.

Barunga West’s Interim CEO Paul Simpson said Council was “committed to facilitating responsible and sustainable industrial growth”.

“By establishing this Employment Zone, we are laying the groundwork for long-term regional prosperity and providing certainty to businesses seeking to invest and expand within our community,” Mr Simpson said.

Port Broughton’s strategic location, 170km northwest of Adelaide and 56km south of Port Pirie, makes it ideally positioned for industries seeking a central and accessible site.
