Due to COVID-related delays affecting all industries, contractors have been forced to postpone the start date for kerbside bin lid replacements from 8 August 2022 to 15 August 2022.
The one-week postponement is beyond Council’s control and means all works will now be completed by 30 August 2022.
Kerbside bins lids will be replaced over a two-week period, from 15 August to 30 August.
If our district experiences any extreme weather events or people go away, we need to be good neighbours and support one another by keeping an eye on bins during the next few weeks.
Please contact Council staff for any assistance or questions you may have in the event you or your friends or family are unable to get your bins out by 15 August. Please leave bins out until the lids have been replaced.
Barunga West Council is changing its kerbside collection program from September 2022.
As part of this change, Council contractors (Trident Plastics) will be replacing your kerbside bin lids from Monday, 15 August 2022. Please ensure that on this date you have present at the kerbside all of your Council bins (all colours). Contractors will only replace lids for ONE ‘standard’ allocation of bins at this time. These are:
1x 140L red
1x 240L yellow
1x 240L lime green
Please note that bin lids must be updated to be included in the kerbside collection program.
Bins with old lids will not be emptied from 1 October2022.
