District Council of Barunga West Rack Plan 967 –

Patrol Grading is carried out throughout the year on Council’s road network.

Council previously had three (3) contractors to patrol grade its roads.  This process ceased at the end of June 2017. Council roads are now Patrol Graded “in-house” in accordance with the road categories.

The grader is working six days a week, 6.00am to 6.30pm Sunday to Friday, commencing on Category 2 roads and progressing from there to Category 3 and Category 4 & 5  roads.

Council staff complete construction and re-sheeting of roads as scheduled within the current budget.

Roads are constantly monitored by Staff and Elected Members, areas of concern dealt with in the most appropriate manner taking into consideration priority, finance and proximity of plant.

Any concerns relating to Council roads can be reported to Council through various means:

-           Written Letter

-           Submit a Customer Request through Council’s websiteor request a Customer Request at either the Port Broughton or Bute Council offices during normal business hours or via telephone
