Welcome to the District Council of Barunga West's website, which we hope you will find informative and beneficial.

The Council area covers an area in the northern parts of Yorke Peninsula and includes the townships of Alford, Bute, Fishermans Bay, Kulpara, Melton, Mundoora, Port Broughton, Tickera and Wokurna.

As a Council we are committed to ensuring that our residents and visitors have a range of facilities and services available to them, to enjoy their stay in our district.

Each part of our area is able to offer something for everybody with the facilities available, such as holidaying, boating, retail facilities, eating houses and provision of services such as health and Schools.

The establishment of our Webpage gives an opportunity for visitors to use our site to be updated on Council's activities and the facilities within our community.

Community Survey 2011

A comprehensive report from McGregor Tan Research has been compiled from the Community Survey results received by Council. The document is available as a FREE download (please note that the document totals 272 pages). Alternatively, copies of the Survey Report can be purchased for $10.00 from either Council Offices. A copy of the survey is also available for members of the public to peruse at Council Offices. Council would again like to thank everyone who participated in the Community Survey.
